Lost
In broad daylight
A broken promise
Virtuous agony
I ache for the abandonment
Of sorrow
Trying to remember
Not understanding
A backward glance
I stop for a while
To ponder the beauty
That lies before me
Which only reminds me
Of you
Thus my love grows
In ecstasy
A red rose emanates
Of well-deserved delight
My world has changed
Been playing around with some macros again as of late. For this shot I placed a black backdrop approximately three feet behind my subject and used the flashlight app on my iPhone to illuminate it. Been using this as a fill light a lot recently, as I like the nice white glow it gives off, as opposed to the harsh, warming effect given off by normal household bulbs. I added a subtle Fuji Velvia 50 effect in post.

Ah, the rose and what it means to our senses! Very nice image Gareth - I do like the light and the shadows on the backdrop!
Nicely done, really nice image. Glad to see you trying different things and this one works well... :-)
