Greetings—Tired and happy among the
Leaves and cool, crisp air
I lie dream-like below the
Empty canopy
Awaken!
Yet all around nature dies
I smell happy scents of moss
And decay
As Eternity ponders its
Well-deserved detachment
Soon to hide below the frozen
Ground
Only to come around again
... and again

Lovely image and prose Gareth! You really should write a book of poetry to go with your images! :)
Beautiful shot. Like how you got the foreground crisp.
Amazing fall color Gareth. Love the words as well.
