Shakespearean Interlude

Greetings—

A clear sky hung above Garden
As her pristine paths and plots
Beckoned passersby
"I am beautiful," she cried
"Born this way of nature
And of this nature shall I ever be!"
"Do not mislead yourself,"
Uttered Keeper
"Your beauty lies within
The vision of my mind
And the toil of my back."
Stinging of contempt Garden exclaimed
"Oh Keeper, what are you
But the essence of I
From which you sprang
And to which you shall one day return?"
Keeper thought a moment and said,
"Of this you have a point."
Keeper was patient, never listless
Garden knew this well
And as she pondered her apparent
Verbal victory
She spied a new implement
In the hands of Keeper ...

Othello said this about his wife - Desdemona...

'Tis not to make me jealous
To say my wife is fair, feeds well, loves company,
Is free of speech, sings, plays, and dances well.
Where virtue is, these are more virtuous.
Nor from mine own weak merits will I draw
The smallest fear or doubt of her revolt,
For she had eyes, and chose me.'

In saying thus Othello put his wife on a Pedestal. You captured it well, my Friend, in beautiful Shakespearean symbolism... :-)
